Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dust-removing structure for a riding-type mower, so designed that, intrusion of cut grass and the like into an engine room is suppressed more effectively, thus more effectively suppressing the trouble of overheating occurrence stemming from the deposition/accumulation of such cut grass and the like. SOLUTION: The dust-removing structure has the following scheme: The output shaft 22A of an engine 22 is put to transmission junction via a universal joint 25 to the input shaft 24A of a variable-speed gear 24 out of an engine room. An opening 17C for threading the universal joint 25 and introducing the outside air therethrough is formed on a partition wall 17B set upright in between the engine 22 and the variable-speed gear 24. There is installed a perforated board 46 functioning to prevent cut grass from intrusion via the opening 17C into the engine room by integrated rotation of the board 46 with the output shaft 22A around it. At the center of the perforated board 46, a hole 46B through which the transmission direction's downstream side part 25B of the universal joint 25 is threaded is formed. A flange 25D formed at a position in the proximity of the above hole 46B is fitted with a resin ring member 49 joined to the perforated board 46 so as to encircle the hole 46B.
