Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a heat exchanger with high pressure resistance. SOLUTION: The heat exchanger includes: flat tubes 10 superposed on each other; an inlet header part 50 connected to one end parts of the respective flat tubes 10 and having an inflow port 53 for making cooling water flow in from outside; an outlet header part 60 connected to the other end parts of the respective flat tubes 10 and having an outflow port 63 for making cooling water flow out to outside; inserts 70, 80 arranged in both end parts in the superposing direction of the flat tubes 10 and connected to the inlet header part 50 and the outlet header part 60; and ribs 71, 81 formed by bending both end parts of the respective inserts 70, 80 outwardly. The height of the ribs 71, 81 is set to gradually increase from the inlet header part 50 side to a portion near the longitudinal direction central part of the insert 70, 80 and gradually decrease from the portion near the longitudinal direction central part of the insert 70, 80 toward the outlet header part 60 side.
