Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a solid oxide type fuel battery cell using electrode material powder having a larger grain size for actualizing more three-phase interfaces and higher conductivity of an electrolyte layer, and to provide its manufacturing method. SOLUTION: The manufacturing method for the solid oxide type fuel battery cell comprises electrolyte layer forming steps of applying electrolyte layer forming slurry containing the electrolyte material powder, on the surface of an electrolyte substrate 11 or an electrode substrate, applying hole making agent slurry containing a solid hole making agent, on the applied electrolyte layer forming slurry, and then firing the electrolyte substrate or the electrode substrate.
