Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an airbag device capable of quickly developing an airbag body while an airbag module is inclined at the time of vehicle collision. SOLUTION: This airbag device 1 having an airbag module 2 stored in an instrument panel 10 is constructed in such a way that an opening 12 allowing the airbag module 2 to be passed therethrough is formed at a location of the instrument panel 10 where the airbag module 2 is arranged, the airbag module 2 comprises a supporting member 5 having its extremity end 5a pivotally attached to a vehicle member 13 to support the airbag module 2, and an actuator 7 to cause the supporting member 5 to be turned to such a direction as one in which the airbag module 2 flies out of the opening 12 at the time of collision of a vehicle.
