Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an improved drinking container allowing a drinker to drink a beverage by him/herself without influence of inclination of the drinking container when drinking, without receiving assistance or care. SOLUTION: The drinking container includes a container body 2 having a bottom portion 2a and a barrel portion 2b and formed into a bottomed cylindrical shape for holding a beverage, and a projecting wall plate portion 3 formed to project inward from part of the inner circumference of an opening edge 2c at the upper part of the container body 2. An intermediate part of the projecting wall plate portion 3 is formed with a drinking opening 3b configured to be located within the range of a lip R applied thereto when drinking and to make the beverage to flow out before the beverage overflows the projecting edge 3a of the projecting wall plate portion 3, when the container body 2 is inclined.
