Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a technique for shortening a catalyst warm-up time without presenting other problems, in a catalyst warm-up device of an internal combustion engine. SOLUTION: The catalyst warm-up device of the internal combustion engine is provided with a catalyst in an exhaust gas control device 12 provided for an exhaust pipe 11 of the internal combustion engine 1, a shutter valve 14, provided for an exhaust gas port 6 upstream of the exhaust gas control device 12 including the catalyst, can shut a peripheral part in the exhaust gas port 6 and a catalyst bed temperature detection sensor 13 for detecting a catalyst bed temperature of the catalyst. In the case where the catalyst bed temperature that the catalyst bed temperature detection sensor 13 detects has not reached a predetermined active temperature yet, the peripheral part in the exhaust gas port 6 is shut by the shutter valve 14.
