PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a polarization plate excellent in a humidity resistance and a thermal resistance, and suppressing a contraction of a polarization film even if the thickness and weight of the polarization plate are reduced. SOLUTION: The polarization plate is provided with the polarization film, and a protection film. In the polarization film, a dichroic pigment is adsorbed and oriented to a polyvinyl alcohol resin film. The protection film has a major component as a cured material of an active energy ray-cured resin composition formed on at least one side of the polarization film, and also has an elasticity of 3000-7000 MPa. Alternatively, the protection film has the major component as the cured material of the active energy ray-cured resin composition containing an alicyclic epoxy compound having at least one epoxy group bonded to an alicyclic ring within a molecule, and a cured material as a compound having at least one (meta) acryloyl group within a molecule, comprising the compound having the (meta) acryloyl group and a polymerization initiator only, and having a (meta) acrylic compound providing the elasticity of 3000 MPa or more.
