Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a liquid jet head which can acquire an excellent ink-discharge characteristic while being able to make the area comparatively small, and a liquid jet apparatus equipped with the liquid jet head. SOLUTION: The liquid jet head is equipped with a flow path unit 400 containing a reservoir formation substrate 30 installed in the first reservoir portion 31. The first reservoir portion 31 includes a penetration part 31a which penetrates the reservoir formation substrate 30 in the thickness direction, and a stepped part 31b provided continuously to the penetration part 31a at the surface side opposite to the flow path formation substrate 10 of the reservoir formation substrate 30 and at the side of the flow path 16 of other train rather than the penetration part 31a. The second reservoir part 25 which communicates to a pressure generation chamber 12 of other train and composes a part of the second reservoir 102 at least is formed in the flow path unit 400 so as lap with the stepped part 31b substantially in the thickness direction of the flow path unit 400.
