Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for analyzing an amplified nucleic acid by which a trace amount of the nucleic acid originated from a single cell or a fine in-vivo tissue is amplified and readily analyzed in high accuracy, and to provide a device for the analysis. SOLUTION: The method for analyzing the amplified nucleic acid includes setting on a stage 19 a substrate 2 having a first hydrophilic region of a flat sample-holding part and a first water-repellent region surrounding the periphery part thereof on the surface, fixing a biological sample 30 on a sample slide 3, irradiating the sample 30 with a laser beam 7 from a light source 6 to cut a fragment, holding the fragment on the first hydrophilic region, soaking the fragment in a liquid for amplifying the nucleic acid, regulating the total amount of the liquid containing the fragment so as to be 0.2-3 μL, observing the presence or absence and/or the form of the fragment by an ocular 12 and/or a camera 17, determining whether the progress of the amplification of the nucleic acid is possible of not from the observed results, amplifying the nucleic acid originated from the fragment in the first hydrophilic region by regulating the temperature of the stage 19 when the progress is determined to be possible, and detecting the signal of the amplified nucleic acid by the camera 17.
