Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a paddle shift assembling method capable of eliminating any inverting operation of a steering wheel and reducing the assembly man-hour when assembling a paddle shift to the steering wheel. SOLUTION: The paddle shift assembling method includes a positioning step of positioning the paddle shift 20 at the back side of a steering wheel lower cover 12 by engaging the paddle shift with the steering wheel lower cover 12, a lower cover fitting step of fitting the steering wheel lower cover 12 with the paddle shift 20 being fitted thereto in the positioned state to the back side of a core 11, and a fastening step of fastening the core 11 and the paddle shift 20 by screwing a tapping screw T into the paddle shift 20 via the core 11 from the surface side of the core 11 with the steering wheel lower cover 12 being fitted thereto.
