Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a circuit breaker downsized in the width direction. SOLUTION: The circuit breaker includes two fixed contacts 2A, 2B juxtaposed in right and left directions of a container, two movable contactors 4A, 4B in which separately opposing movable contacts 3A, 3B are fixed to respective fixed contacts 2A, 2B, an open-close mechanism 5 to drive the two movable contacts 4A, 4B, and an electromagnetic release part 47 to force a contact part to open via the open-close mechanism when abnormality occurs in an electric path. The electromagnetic release part 47 includes a nearly cylindrical coil bobbin 69 extended and installed in one direction, a winding 68A which is energized by an electric current flowing in the electric path, and enforces a release action by a magnetic force generated when a short circuit current flows in the electric path, and the winding 68B to excite a fixed iron core 57 when a leakage current flows in the electric path, and the windings 68A, 68B are wound around arranged in the axial direction of the coil bobbin 69, and wound around in the same direction against the coil bobbin 69.
