Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a synthesizer capable of achieving a receiver having excellent reception performance by suppressing the generation of spurious caused by frequency control, and to provide the receiver using the same and an electronic apparatus. SOLUTION: The synthesizer includes: a synthesizer section 16 for generating a local oscillation signal based on a reference oscillation signal output from an MEMS(microelectro-mechanical systems) resonator 14 to input the generated signal into a frequency converter 18; and a control section 7 for controlling the frequency of the local oscillation signal output from the synthesizer section 16. In the synthesizer, where a frequency adjustment unit of the synthesizer section 16 in which the quality of an output signal from the frequency converter 18 is a quality limit threshold at frequency adjustment by the control section 7 is a predetermined value F, a frequency adjustment unit Δfcont of the synthesizer section 16 is within the predetermined value F.
