Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method of a display device which can reduce the number of processes, and moreover, can maintain an organic EL element in a curved surface shape, and provide a display device. SOLUTION: In the manufacturing method of the display device which has an organic EL element pinched between a pair of holding substrates of which at least either is transparent, flexible sheet-shaped organic EL element is arranged between the pair of the holding substrates having the same shape so that a light-emitting side may face the transparent holding substrate and the holding substrates are fixed so that the curved surface portions can be matched to each other, then the organic EL element is deformed along the curved portion and can maintain in the same shape as the curved portion.
