Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To calculate stably the distance to an object regardless of the size of the object which is a distance measuring object. SOLUTION: An extraction part 20 uses each input image input successively from a standard camera 110 as a standard image and each input image input successively from a reference camera 120 as a reference image, and extracts an object domain which is a domain where a front vehicle body is photographed from each standard image. An area calculation part 30 calculates the area of the object domain extracted by the extraction part 20. A processing changing part 40 selects search processing for heightening parallax resolution gradually as the area of the object domain calculated by the area calculation part 30 is reduced. A corresponding point searching part 50 sets successively each attention point in the object domain extracted by the extraction part 20, and searches for a correspondence point of each attention point from the reference image obtained at the same time as the standard image where the attention point is set by using the search processing selected by the processing changing part 40.
