Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify the configuration of a negative pressure generating device by generating a negative pressure irrespective of whether supercharging is present or not. SOLUTION: A turbocharger 1 and a throttle device 5 are installed in an intake passage 3 of an engine 2 in this order from the upstream side. A bypass passage 6 is formed to communicate with the upstream side of the turbocharger 1 and the downstream side of the throttle device 5. The negative pressure generating device generates a negative pressure by an air ejector 7 installed in the bypass passage 6. The air ejector 7 includes a nozzle section, a negative pressure chamber, and a diffuser section. The air ejector 7 is rotatably installed in the bypass passage 6 to replace the positions of the nozzle section and the diffuser section. The negative pressure generated by the air ejector 7 is supplied to a canister 23 through a negative pressure passage 24. The evaporated fuel produced in a fuel tank 21 is captured by the canister 23. The evaporated fuel captured by the canister 23 is purged to the intake passage 3 through the negative pressure passage 24 and the bypass passage 6. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
