Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an excavated soil disposal method for preventing viscous soil contained in excavated soil from dissolving into water. SOLUTION: According to the excavated soil disposal method, processing water obtained by adding a nonionic thickening agent to water is fed into a chamber 5, according to excavation of a slurry-type shield machine 1. The excavated soil generated by the excavation of the slurry-type shield machine 1 is mixed with the processing water in the chamber 5 by an agitator 8, but by virtue of aggregation effect of the nonionic thickening agent contained in the processing water, the viscous soil contained in the excavated soil does not dissolve into the water. The processing water is adjusted so as to have a specific gravity and a specific viscosity of about 1.00 to about 1.25, and about 20 to about 40 sec, respectively, for instance.
