Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a shift control system for automatic transmission wherein in the case where friction engagement elements by twos are disconnected/connected respectively and downshifted via an intermittent stage to a shift stage two or more stages apart, a torque capacity of a second shift release element is monitored in a torque capacity calculation required for a first shift engagement element, and by ensuring the first shift engagement element a sufficient reaction, FB control exerted by the second release element is ensured. SOLUTION: A shift control means controls so that the torque capacity of a clutch C-1 of the first shift engagement element is controlled to be sufficiently higher than a variant of the torque capacity of a clutch C-3 of the second shift release element, and thereby the torque capacity of the clutch C-1 is increased in response to the increase of the torque capacity of the clutch C-3. Thus, occurrence of such a malfunction can be suppressed that control of the rotation variation becomes difficult to cause shift shocks. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
