Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an end combustion gas generator in which the combustion time is remarkably extended without increasing the entire length, a stable gas amount is generated over the entire combustion time with less fluctuation of a combustion area, the filling rate of a gas generating agent (propellant) is high, and the filling is easy. SOLUTION: The end combustion gas generator includes a hollow cylindrical combustor 12, the propellant 14 having a plurality of layers concentrically and densely filled in the combustor without having a large space in the inner cross section and in which the cross sectional area of each layer is equal, and a partitioning wall 16 for separating the plurality of layers from each other and connecting them by only a folded back part 17 at axial ends. In the propellant, end faces are sequentially burned from the outer most layer via the folded back part. The folded back part includes an end outer plate 16a continuously surrounding ends of inner and outer sides of the propellant, and a combustion speed accelerating member 20 provided along an inner face of the end outer plate for enhancing the combustion speed of the propellant. The shape of the end outer plate is configured so that the combustion area in the folded back part is substantially constant. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
