PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively separate a waste gypsum board into paper and gypsum, and to enhance the ratio of recycled paper by minimizing the crushing of the paper. SOLUTION: The device for recycling a waste gypsum board that further separates paper from pieces of paper sticking to gypsum obtained by crushing a waste gypsum board is comprised of a casing 200 that forms a passage for conveying the pieces of paper sticking to gypsum, and an agitating conveyor 202 that agitates and conveys the pieces of paper sticking to gypsum, with a gap d formed between the casing 200 and the agitating conveyor 202. In the gap d, friction force is generated and imposed on the pieces of paper sticking to gypsum being conveyed, whereby gypsum is isolated therefrom, and the conveying of a portion of the pieces of paper sticking to gypsum by the agitating conveyor 202 is delayed by the gap d.
