Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an antibody molecule having specificity for an antigenic determinant group of human tumor necrosis factor (TNF α), and to provide a therapeutic use of the antibody molecule and a method for producing the antibody molecule. SOLUTION: The antibody molecule containing at least one CDR derived from a mouse monoclonal antibody having specificity for human TNF α is disclosed. The CDR grafted antibody wherein at least one of the CDRs is a hybrid CDR is disclosed. The DNA sequence encoding the chain of the antibody molecule, vector, transformed host cell and uses of the antibody molecule in the treatment of diseases mediated by TNF α are disclosed.
