Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a manufacturing method capable of inexpensively providing a display device superior in a display characteristic, by widely securing an effective picture element area of securing the required film thickness of a deposition film in a picture element, while rationally arranging a display panel on a substrate, without enlarging a manufacturing device. SOLUTION: This manufacturing method of the display device is provided for forming a deposition pattern on the picture element (a) of the substrate 5 by using a deposition mask 3 having an opening pattern 3a and a long side line deposition source 1. The deposition mask 3 and the substrate 5 are arranged so that the long side direction of the opening pattern 3a and the picture element (a) is respectively adjusted to the longitudinal direction of the line deposition source 1, regardless of the arranging direction of a display panel area P on the substrate 5. The deposition pattern is formed on the respective picture elements (a) by relatively moving the substrate 5 and the deposition mask 3 to the deposition source 1. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
