Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a ventilation device capable of ensuring ventilation by more accurately detecting coming in/out of a person, and easily performing repair and maintenance of the performance of the ventilation device by properly detecting the service life and occurrence of failure. SOLUTION: A swing mechanism 12 for swinging a thermal electromotive force type temperature sensor 11, is disposed on a side face of a main body 5, and a thermal electromotive force type temperature sensor 11 incorporating a pantoscopic element detecting far infrared ray, is disposed on the center of the swing mechanism 12. Besides, a louver 13 with a vent hole, covering a suction opening formed at a lower part of the main body 5, includes a human detecting portion 14 capable of detecting motion of a human body, a control circuit 15 for controlling the thermal electromotive force type temperature sensor 11, the swing mechanism 12 and the human detecting portion 14 is disposed inside of the main body 5, and a position of the control circuit 15 is determined so that the thermal electromotive force type temperature sensor 11 enters a monitoring area when it is swung by the swinging mechanism 12 to monitor a temperature of the control circuit 15.
