PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an article ejection unit avoiding force from being added to an article placed on an article arrangement unit in the opposite direction to the ejection direction. SOLUTION: An article ejection unit 20 includes a commodity placement board 21, on which a plurality of book-shaped commodities N are arranged in parallel with predetermined attitude; and an ejection means 60 being disposed movably relative to the arrangement direction of the commodities N arranged in parallel on the commodity placement board, and having a pushing member 69 to eject each commodity disposed in a preset ejection area RA1, to the direction which intersects relative to the arrangement direction, when it is driven. This pushing member 69 is configured to pass through the ejection area, when it moves from a pre-ejection position Rb to a post-ejection position Ra, so as to eject the commodities disposed in this ejection area, and to pass outside the ejection area, when moving from the post-ejection position to the pre-ejection position.
