Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To easily manage paper and a print log by associating them with each other without substantially changing an existing printer under operation or modifying a relevant program. SOLUTION: A printed matter management system includes a printer having a tag reader for reading the information of the IC tag of a medium having an IC tag having an unique identifier; a log server for acquiring and storing information related with printing on a medium by the printer from a generation source device as log; an ID management server for receiving the identifier of the IC tag read by a tag reader, and for storing a time in printing on the medium or receiving the information of the IC tag in association with the identifier of the IC tag in a storage means; and a print log integration server for transmitting the identifier of the IC tag owned by the medium to an ID management server, and for acquiring the time when the identifier has been received from the ID management server, and for acquiring the log in the neighborhood of the time from the log server, and for storing and managing the log and the medium by associating them with each other in the storage means.
