PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mold washing method which can surely remove contamination incapable of being removed by a high pressure water washing process or an oscillating ultrasonic cleaning process, and also surely clean even a metallic mold of a complicated shape having a number of projecting/recessed parts, through-holes, or the like in addition to metallic molds of simple shapes. SOLUTION: The mold washing apparatus 10 includes: a vessel 12; a basket 14 installed in the vessel 12; a cleaning liquid 16 injected in the vessel 12; a number of beads 18 stored in the basket 14; a first basket 22A for holding a first metallic mold 20A; a second basket 22B for holding a second metallic mold 20B; a first and a second vertical moving mechanism 24A, 24B that put the first and the second basket 22A, 22B in and out of the cleaning liquid 16 containing the beads 18 in the vessel 12; and a first and a second oscillation mechanism 26A, 26B that oscillate the first and the second basket 22A, 22B inserted in the cleaning liquid 16 containing the beads 18.
