Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a cyan pigment as a coloring material used for an electrophotographic polymerization toner to be used as a developer for developing an electrostatic charge image in electrophotography, electrostatic recording, electrostatic printing or the like. SOLUTION: The cyan pigment is prepared by wet-pulverizing copper phthalocyanine and nickel phthalocyanine in the presence of an inorganic salt and an organic solvent. The cyan pigment satisfies a color difference of within 3 from a cyan value of Japan Color standard (a*=-37.0, b*=-50.1) and a color saturation of c*=≥60.0.
