Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a solid amorphous drug dispersion product by using a modified spray-drying apparatus. SOLUTION: Conventional spray-drying methods are improved by incorporation of a pressure nozzle and a diffuser plate to improve the flow of drying gas, and extension of a drying chamber to increase drying time. A composition comprising an amorphous drug and a cellulosic polymer or a neutralized acidic polymer is formed into a homogeneous solid drug dispersion in a concentration-enhancing polymer by such improvements.
