Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical transmission channel monitoring system in which a structure can be simplified by reducing the number of components without requiring a swelling material, water infiltration can be detected immediately in the case of water infiltration, and bending pressure is not applied to an optical fiber cable during the water infiltration. SOLUTION: In the optical transmission channel monitoring system, fused photo couplers 60-63 which are formed by fusing an optical transmission line 10 and an optical fiber 71 that is an auxiliary optical transmission line, distribute light L from a light source, being propagated on the optical transmission channel 10 to propagate first distributed light L1 to the optical transmission channel 10, and distributes the light L from the light source to propagate second distributed light L2 to the optical fiber 71 that is the auxiliary optical transmission line, and a reflection section 89 is disposed in the terminal portion of the optical fiber 71 that is the auxiliary optical transmission line and reflects the second distributed light L2 to a light source side.
