Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a process control unit whose reliability is improved. SOLUTION: The process control unit includes: first and second CPU units 3A and 3B which perform same processing and calculate a control signal to a processor 1; first and second analog output card 4A and 4B which are connected to the first and second CPU units 3A and 3B at a PIO bus 20 respectively, perform analog conversion of control signals from the first and second CPU units 3A and 3B, output them to the processor 1, performs self-diagnosis to perform abnormal/normal determination; a first switch logic circuit section 7 which is connected to the first and second CPU units 3A and 3B and performs switching of which control signals are to be used among the first CPU units 3A and the second CPU units 3B; a second switch logic circuit section 8 which performs switching which of the first analog output card 4A or the second analog output card 4B are to be connected to the processor 1 based on abnormal/normal determination; and a switch section 5.
