Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the weight and the working cost of a swing arm in a drive chain tension adjusting device of a motorcycle in which one end of a bolt penetrating an end cap in an axially movable manner is fixed to an adjuster to be slidably stored in a rear part of the swing arm, and a nut to be abutted on and engaged with an outer side of the end cap is screwed to the other end of the bolt. SOLUTION: In the drive chain tension adjusting device, an adjuster 28 comprises a cylindrical collar 31A for allowing an axle 14 to pass through with one end of a bolt 26A being welded thereto, and a holder 32 which has a through-hole 33 for passing the bolt 26A and a fitting hole 34 for fitting the collar 31A and is formed of rubber or a synthetic resin, and holds the collar 31A. The holder 32 is slidably fitted in a swing arm 13 so as to be slidably brought into contact with at least an upper wall 13a and a lower wall 13b of the swing arm 13. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT |
