Summary: | PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a step-down switching regulator into which a high voltage can be inputted, which can make chip area small, and which can increase response speed. SOLUTION: A supply voltage VL from a first power circuit 4 is inputted via a diode D2 into the positive side power supply input end of a first drive circuit 3 for ON/OFF control of a switching transistor M1. The negative side power supply input end of the first drive circuit 3 is connected to a connection part LX. Furthermore, a bootstrap capacitor C1 is connected between the positive side power supply input end of a first drive circuit 3 and the connection part LX so as to make the supply voltage of the first drive circuit 3 not to be more than a withstand voltage of a low voltage resistance transistor.
