Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simultaneously set a tempo and a beat easily based on hit key indicating a tempo and a beat that a user wishes to set in an electronic musical instrument. SOLUTION: When the end of operating a touch switch by a performer is determined (YES in S510), an performance tempo value TMP is calculated by calculating an interval between operations from time required from performer's operation start of the touch switch to its end and the operation number of times, a performance beat value MET is calculated from the number of times of operating the touch switch by the performer, and the calculated performance tempo value TMP and the calculated performance beat value MET are set as a performance tempo and a beat during automatic performance (S530).
