PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hinge device for a door capable of taking the door inside a skeleton when opening the door. SOLUTION: The hinge device for the door includes a mounting base 2 fixed to the skeleton A; a mounting plate 3 fixed to the back face of the door B; a first arm 4 turnably supported to a first support shaft 8 inserted in the mounting base 2, and turnably fitted at its swing end 4c to the mounting plate 3 to move the mounting plate 3 from a closed position of the door to an open position with respect to the mounting base 2; and a second arm 5 supporting the mounting plate 3 in cooperation with the first arm 4 and guiding a swinging free end (b) of the door B in a push-out direction when opening the door B. A coil spring 12 for energizing the door B always in the opening direction is interposed between the first arm 4 and the mounting base 2, and the mounting base 2 includes a locking device 14 locked to either the first arm 4 or the second arm 5 to restrict the door B in the closed position and capable of release operation.
