Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a scroll compressor capable of suppressing degradation of its capacity during the normal operation by suppressing the flow-in of high-pressure fluid to be introduced in a fluid introduction passage for adjusting the suction volume into a compression chamber. SOLUTION: In the scroll compressor 1, a first through-hole 32 opened in a bottom surface of a spiral groove and a third through-hole 132 to be communicated with the first through-hole are formed in a fixed scroll 21. A piston 33 is inserted in the first through-hole, and the piston is urged to the opposite side of the compression chamber by an urging member 35. The piston 33 has an annular groove 33d formed in a side surface with a piston ring 33e at a stepped abutment being fitted thereto, and a second through-hole 33f to be opened in an end face opposite to the compression chamber side and in a bottom surface of the annular groove. The piston enters a state of blocking a space on the compression chamber side of the first through-hole while the first through-hole and the third through-hole are communicated with each other during the high-pressure load, and during the low-pressure load, forms a clearance space on the compression chamber side of the first through-hole, and enters a state of allowing the clearance space to communicate with the third through-hole.
