PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pigment composition having a storage-stabilized period of several years, and capable of being easily dispersed in an organic solvent, to provide a method for producing the composition, and to provide a colored composition using the pigment composition. SOLUTION: The pigment composition is obtained by dispersing a water-based wet cake of a pigment and an aqueous resin in an aqueous solvent, and thereafter separating and removing the aqueous solvent. The pigment dispersion can be preserved for a long period as a powder-shaped resin-treated pigment easily dispersable in an organic solvent, and can provide a colored composition such as an ink and a resist using the composition.
