Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To accurately detect discrimination of a plurality of paper feeding stages and the status of connection by a simple constitution in an image forming device capable of connecting a plurality of paper feeding stages. SOLUTION: Resistant bodies 24 having the same resistance value r are provided on the respective paper feeding stages respectively, and when the plurality of paper feeding stages are connected to the image forming device, the respective resistant bodies 24 are connected in parallel to constitute a connection detection circuit 21. Treatment for detecting the number of connected paper feeding stages is executed based on a synthetic resistance values of the respective resistant bodies of the plurality of paper feeding stages obtained from detection terminals 22, 23.
