Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To efficiently diagnose abnormality in a conveying device running on a path of conveyance. SOLUTION: An ultrasonic detector is arranged at a prescribed part of the path of conveyance. Each time when the conveying device passes the prescribed part, ultrasonic waves from the conveying device are detected by the ultrasonic detector (S1) and the characteristic values of the detected ultrasonic waves are calculated (S4). If characteristic values calculated successively each time when the conveying device passes the prescribed part exceeds a prescribed threshold continuously for the prescribed number of times (YES for S7), it is determined that the conveying device is abnormal (S9).
