Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a channel which has a grating mounted therein so that a stream current is visible from above. SOLUTION: The concrete channel 11 is laid along a road and formed like a flat groove having a shallow bottom. The grating 12 having a thickness equivalent to the depth of the groove of the channel 11 is mounted in the channel 11, and directly set on the channel bottom such that the longitudinal direction of the grating 12 follows the longitudinal direction of the channel 11. The grating 12 has a structure in which bearing bars 13 each formed of a flat bar having a plate width equivalent to the depth of the groove of the channel 11 and a constant length in the longitudinal direction, are arranged side by side, and upper edges of the bearing bars are connected together by cross bars 14 at suitable intervals. Further the grating has fixed thereto a polycarbonate board 15 whose surface has been subjected to embossing for slip prevention. COPYRIGHT: (C)2009,JPO&INPIT
