Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To perform multiple treatments such as marking of a mucosal surface, mucosal dissection and excision and stanching of a bleeding part, and to surely and smoothly perform all or some of the treatments at least. SOLUTION: A high frequency tool has a high frequency knife 13 for applying a high frequency current at the distal end of a flexible cord 10 encased in a tube member 2a constituting a flexible sheath 2. A rigid tubular member 20 which has an electrically insulating property and is provided with a through-hole passing through in an axial direction is inserted and fixed inside the tube member 2a so that the distal end face is roughly matched with the distal end face of the tube member 2a, and an annular end wall P composed of an annular plane part is formed on the flexible sheath 2. The high frequency knife 13 has an electrode member 14 including a rod portion 14a and a spherically bulged portion 14b connected to the distal end of the rod portion 14a.
