SOLUTION: In the surface acoustic wave device on a piezoelectric substrate on which an interdigital transducer 10 is formed, a main component of an electrode material forming the interdigital transducer 10 is copper; and the piezoelectric substrate is a LiNbO3 substrate and its surface wave propagation mode is a Love wave mode.
