Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To dispense with installing an LED indicator used for a failure alarm on a special instrument panel and the like and wiring therefor in an electronic control unit provided with an element substrate to which an element for controlling is attached and a unit housing covering the element substrate. SOLUTION: An electronic control unit includes: an element substrate 45 to which elements 81 to 83 for controlling are attached; and a unit housing 46 covering the element substrate 45. An LED indicator 84 used for a failure alarm of the electronic control unit U is attached to the element substrate 45.
