Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method of winding up optical fiber by which an optical fiber is tidily wound up when winding the optical fiber to a bobbin. SOLUTION: The method of winding up optical fiber is for winding up the optical fiber 13 on the barrel 11 of the bobbin 10 which has a cylindrical barrel 11 and two disk type fin parts 12 provided on both ends of the barrel 11, wherein the fin parts 12 are bent to the direction opposite to the barrel 11, so that the optical fiber 13 is wound up being prevented from hooked by the fin parts 12 when the bobbin 10 is turned.
