Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain data with a constant amplitude even for rapidly changing signals. SOLUTION: Two different data of ultrasonic beam, propagating through a fluid flowing in a pipe line alternatively from upstream or downstream side, are stored in a memory 11. A value is obtained which indicates a feature of each data such as a value corresponding to an inverse number of a peak value of amplitude to multiply data read from the memory 11, and a difference is obtained to calculate a propagation time difference and to compute a flow rate.
