Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide multifunctionality of a video navigation function, without having to increase the burden in both the hardware and software of a viewing terminal. SOLUTION: In this video content viewing terminal, a storing part 207 acquires from an external server 203 metadata for executing the video navigation function, together with video content and stores the metadata and the video content. A metadata analyzing part 204 verifies the integrity of the acquired metadata and modifies and complements imperfect places of the metadata.
