Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reverse input cutoff clutch which has high torque-transfer efficiency, which is durable, and which can have a small diameter. SOLUTION: A clutch member 40 is energized by an elastic member 50 toward an interruption position near an input shaft 9f. A torque transfer/cam means 60 is arranged between the input shaft 9f and the clutch member 40, and rotation torque from the input shaft 9f is transferred to the clutch member 40. Then the clutch member 40 is moved toward a connection position near an output shaft 9d against the elastic member 50 in accordance with the rotary phase difference between the input shaft 9f and the clutch member 40. An engagement protrusion 75 is provided on one of the mutually-opposed surfaces of the clutch member 40 and the output shaft 9d, and an engagement recess 25 is provided on the other surface. When the clutch member 40 is in an interruption position, the engagement protrusion 75 and the engagement recess 25 are in a disengaged sate. When the clutch member 40 is in a connection position, the engagement protrusion 75 and the engagement recess 25 are engaged with each other, and the rotation torque from the clutch member 40 is transferred to the output shaft 9d.
