Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical print head capable of attaining an improvement in image quality and compaction at the same time, and an image forming apparatus. SOLUTION: The optical print head is provided with a substrate having a plurality of light emitting elements and a control means for controlling the drive of the light emitting elements, arranged on one main surface, a support on which the substrate is placed so as to be abutted on another main surface of the substrate and an optical system for transmitting light from the plurality of the light emitting elements. An electrode for inspection which is connected to the control means is provided on another main surface of the substrate, wherein the electrode for inspection is exposed via a through-hole provided on the support.
