PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To minimize the capacity and transfer band required for a memory in transferring data from the memory to an image processing module by use of direct memory access. SOLUTION: The image processing apparatus having an image processing module for processing a command obtained by adding control information to data composed of a register set value or pixel data successively reads data to be processed from a continuous first address space storing the data by direct memory access, generates a command processable by the image processing module by adding control information for forining the command to the read data, and transfers the generated command to the image processing module. The register set value or pixel data is extracted from the processed command which is outputted from the image processing module, and the extracted register set value or pixel data is successively stored in a continuous second address space of the memory by direct memory access.
