Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical connector in which a cable with the optical connector is easily and smoothly introduced into a duct. SOLUTION: The optical connector 1 is provided with a connector body 6 on which a plug frame 7 is attached. The connector body 6 has a ferrule 9 which holds the end part of an optical fiber 3 exposed from the cable jacket 5 of a drop cable 2. The ferrule 9 is mounted on a cable holding body 11 which partially composes a cable fix member 10 which fixes the drop cable 2. The cable fix member 10 is covered by a housing 20 having a substantially cylindrical shape. A spring receiving member 23 is mounted on the rear part of the housing 20. A pressurizing spring 26 which energizes the ferrule 9 in the pressurizing direction is disposed between the rear end face of the cable fix member 10 and the rear inner wall face of the spring receiving member 23 in the housing 20.
