Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a clamp sensor equipped with an alarm device which issues alarm when closure of semicircular clamp sensor assemblies is incomplete in a current measuring operation. SOLUTION: The clamp sensor 8 having a set of semicircular clamp sensor assemblies 2a and 2b pivotally fitted to each other at one end side so that they form substantially an annular ring in closure and can be opened and closed, is provided with the alarm device which issues alarm when the closure of the semicircular clamp sensor assemblies is incomplete. As to the alarm device, a microswitch 10 which is made to operate by contact from a specified direction, or a microswitch optical fiber type photosensor 15 of which the optical path is intercepted by a light-shielding plate, is used on the opening-closing end side or on the pivotally fitted end side of one of the semicircular clamp sensor assemblies 2a and 2b.
