Summary:PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an optical module that can prevent impact-caused deviation of a joint part between PLC chips and that dispenses with a damper for fixing movable PLC chips, by solving problems of a conventional optical module of a multi-chip structure, in which, with an impact in a direction vertical to a PLC chip face, the adsorption by a filling material packed in the lower face of a movable PLC chip is not enough to absorb the impact, causing the movable PLC chip to be displaced by the impact for more than an allowable limit in the vertical direction of a substrate, and affecting connection loss by the deviation of a joint part between the fixed PLC chip and the movable PLC chip. SOLUTION: The optical module is structured such that the upper face of the movable PLC chip unfixed on a seat is covered with a bridge and that a filling material is packed between the bridge and the movable PLC chip and between the seat and the movable PLC chip.
